Preschool Storytime sessions run for about half an hour, with stories and songs. Our Storytimes are fun and free - there is no charge, and you do not have to book. The programme is aimed at pre-school children (3 and 4 years old) - but other children are very welcome. We look forward to seeing you there. For more information please visit the kids page.
Please note: Preschool Storytime will have a short break over the Christmas/New Year period with branch sessions finishing on Wednesday 21 December and resuming Monday 9 January.
Khandallah Library 60th Anniversary Celebrations
On Saturday 31st August 2013, the beautiful, art-deco Khandallah Library celebrated its 60th birthday in style with a fabulous 1950's themed party - a tribute to the library's official opening on 27th August 1953!
Festivities included a morning tea and birthday cake in the Khandallah Town Hall, face painting, tree planting, a musical ensemble, and a "poet-tree" featuring poems written by children from local schools. It was a wonderful community celebration - thank you very much to everyone involved and all those who celebrated this special occassion with us.
