Has your creative side been itching for the return of CRAFTerschool? Maybe you’d like to explore some of our library robotics gear at a Tinker or Tech Time?

Collection Spotlight
Cover of Sleuth & Solve on a background that is black with a pattern of magnifying glass illustrations.

Sleuth & Solve by Victor Escandell is a legitimately fun book aimed at 8–12 year-olds where young detectives must use their powers of imagination, creativity, and logic to answer a number of “mind-twisting mysteries”.

The mysteries, ranging from missing exam questions to murder, are light-hearted in tone and accompanied by cartoon drawings and a solution hidden behind a glued-on flap. Each mystery is rated from very easy to very difficult and given a points value to encourage some friendly game play, either solo or with friends and family. The second book in this series, Sleuth & Solve: Science requires STEM concepts to solve the mysteries, and we’ve recently put in an order for Sleuth & Solve: History and Sleuth & Solve: Spooky, which we know the many fans of this series (including us librarians!) will be excited to see in our branches soon.
