Read books, explore the city, win prizes! The Summer Reading Adventure runs from 1 December 2023 — 31 January 2024, and this year we are inviting intrepid explorers of word and page of all ages to join us — children, teens, and adults!

The 2023 Ngaio Marsh Awards were announced recently in Christchurch, with Charity Norman’s Remember Me chosen as Best Novel. Several months ago we enjoyed talking with Charity about her book, you can watch the interview or reserve the book from our libraries.
