1  Product Overview

WCL Online Payments provides a web-based interface to pay library fines and fees. The website user can use the site to query and manage their library card in relation to fines and fees. The site offers the following facilities:

  • Pay library fees.
  • Generate detail and summary reports of payments.

2  Using WCL Online Payments for the First Time

2.1  Creating an Account

  1. Sign in using your library card number and last name.
  2. You will be taken to a sign up screen where you will be prompted to enter an email address (f our library does not already have one recorded), and agree to the terms and conditions.
  3. Click the “Create Account” button. You will now be logged into your WCL Online Payments account.

2.2  Signing Out of WCL Online Payments

Signing out closes your WCL Online Payments session and prevents other people tampering with your account. For security reasons we recommend you Sign Out every time you have finished working with WCL Online Payments.

To sign out: click the Sign Out link in the left hand column of any WCL Online Payments page.

2.3  Emailing Technical Support

You can email technical support at any time. To send an email to technical support, follow these instructions.

  1. Click the Help link in the left hand column of any WCL Online Payments page (even the Welcome page). This will open the help page in a separate browser window.
  2. Type in your name.
  3. Type in your email address.
  4. Enter your message.
  5. Click the Send Message button.
  6. You will see a screen saying that your support email has been sent. Click OK to acknowledge the message.
  7. Close the help page in your browser when you have finished

Now you are ready to use WCL Online Payments. Go to the next section.

3  Using Your Account

WCL Online Payments allows you to change your account settings and print out statements.

3.1  Paying Fines and Fees

WCL Online Payments allows library members to pay library fines and fees.

  1. Sign into your WCL Online Payments Account
  2. If you have fines and fees you will be prompted to pay them as soon as you sign in. Choose Yes to pay them or No to view them
  3. Select the fines and fees you want to pay by checking the box beside the fine. You can choose up to 10 fines.
  4. You can click Select All to select every entry, or Clear All to deselect all entries.
  5. You can make a partial payment of the amount owing by entering an amount less than the money owing in the 'To Pay' box
  6. Once you have finished selecting the fines or fees, click Pay. The total amount for payment will appear in a confirmation box.
  7. Click OK to proceed to the DPS Payments website, or Cancel to go back.
  8. If you click OK you will next see a DPS Payments window. Enter your credit card details, and then click Submit.
  9. Once your payment has been accepted, you will see a confirmation screen. Click Next to return to the WCL Online Payments website.
  10. You will see a receipt on the screen of your payment. Click Print Preview to print a local copy or click 'Continue'.
  11. You can now make another payment, or click Sign Out to leave the WCL Online Payments website.

3.2  Displaying Account Statements

WCL Online Payments allows library members to request transaction summary and detail statements.

  1. Sign into your WCL Online Payments Account
  2. Click the View Statements link, this opens the statement filter page.
  3. Click on the Statement Type you want: either Summary or Detail.
  4. Enter the date range you want to report on. You have the following choices:
    • A specific date range
    • The last few days
    • The last few weeks
    • The last few months
  5. Click the View Statement button, this will display the statement.
  6. When you have finished with the statement, click the Back to Statements Page link. You will return to the statement filter page.
  7. If you want to display another statement for your chosen , go back to step 4, otherwise click the Cancel button to return the main page.

3.3  View your Account History

WCL Online Payments maintains a log of your activities such as logins and payments. To view your account history, follow these steps.

  1. Sign into your My Monitor account
  2. Click the View Your Account History link in the left-hand column of the page.
  3. You will see a list of events in reverse time order.
  4. To go back in time, click the Next Page link on the right hand side of the page. To go forward in time, click the Previous Page link
  5. To return to your main page click the Back link in the left hand column.

4  Changing Your Account Settings

4.3  Changing your Email Address

You use your email address to sign into WCL Online Payments. So if your email address changes (like when you change Internet Service Provider) you need to let WCL Online Payments know about it. To change your vEmail address follow these steps.

  1. Sign into your WCL Online Payments account with your Library card number and last name.
  2. Click the Change your Settings link in the left hand column. The Settings page will appear.
  3. Click the Email Address tab.
  4. Type in your new email address.
  5. Retype your new email address in the Confirm Email Address edit box.
  6. Click the Change button. You will see a page saying your email address has been changed.
  7. Click the OK button.

4.4  Deleting an Account

To delete access to an account, please contact our administrators.

Email notifications are sent out for payments results, as well as transaction summaries. If you prefer, visit "Change Your Settings" to turn them off, or change to weekly or monthly statements. You can also update your email address, and update your details as necessary.
