Our New Computer System is Live!
We are delighted to announce that the new computer system which manages our catalogue, and circulation services is now live.

The upgrade to our new computer system has proceeded smoothly and our services are returning to business as usual.
Our focus has been on making sure our core customer services such as receiving and cataloguing new materials, issues and returns, reserves and joining the library are ready.
Your loans and returns should be showing as fully up to date.
You can now update your account details (such as changing your telephone number) or make a payment connected with our lending service (such as a DVD issue fee) to a staff member.
We are now happy to receive new reserves for physical items. Existing waiting lists transferred successfully to the new system.
Our eLibrary and website remain fully available and you can continue to make Suggestions to Buy, interloans and NZ collection requests.
Please give our new catalogue a road test. Our website home page still has the search box to quickly access the catalogue and check availability. It will take time to adjust to a different design and layout, but there are more options to filter results (down the right hand side of the results screen), and new booklists on the catalogue home page. Over the next few weeks we will outline some of the great new features in more detail.
If you need help with these steps, please speak with staff in your local branch, or email enquiries@wcl.govt.nz
