Author Interview: Rodney Strong
We chat to cosy crime author Rodney Strong about his new book, Three Dogs, Two Murders and a Cat.

Three Dogs, Two Murders and a Cat features Nicolette Briggs as the chief protagonist. Nicolette is Wellington’s premier, and possibly only, animal detective; Nicolette mostly investigates missing pets and cases of animal cruelty, and prefers the company of animals to people. So, when she is asked to investigate the case of a poisoned cat, she accepts. However, when a body shows up, then another, Nicolette finds herself in the middle of two murder investigations. And when someone breaks into her home and injures one of her dogs, reluctance turns to determination. The book is lots of fun; full of humour, mystery and superb characters who get up to all sorts of hijinks.

Rodney Strong is a Porirua author who left his day job in 2016 to follow his lifelong dream of being a writer. He has since published more than a dozen books for children and adults, including the Ghostly Hitchhiker mysteries and Silvermoon Retirement Village mysteries. When he's not writing he attempts to stay away from chocolate, runs, reads and enjoys spending time with his young children (who contribute a lot to the running and craving for chocolate). Three Dogs, Two Murders and a Cat is his most recent book.
We were thrilled when Rodney took time out from his very busy schedule to discuss his work with us, and we wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to Rodney.
