What's inside?

The Young Adult Kete come in portable library bags. Each Kete is issued and returned as a set. Each Kete contains:

  • 3-4 books on a selected subject.
  • A tag attached to the kete handle with information about the books that have been included.
  • A feedback form for you to suggest themes and ideas for new kete.

What subjects are available?

Our expert librarians rotate these subjects regularly, so you may find general How to Life Kete (e.g. Financial Literacy), NCEA Kete (e.g. subjects targeting specific areas taught in History or English), and genre-themed kete for your reading enjoyment.

You can use the feedback form included with each Kete to recommend a future theme for our librarians to investigate.

How does it work?

  • Young Adult Kete are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Kete can't be reserved, but items can be renewed as normal.
  • Follow the instructions printed on the tag for issuing Young Adult Kete material on our self-issue machines.
