Visiting the Library
All routes which run through Central City Wellington will take you close to the Central Library.
If you are travelling South into the city get off at the Willis Street stop. Victoria Street runs parallel to Willis Street and the stop is in the same block as the Library.
If you are travelling North into the city get off at the Manners Street stop, Victoria Street intersects with Manners Street and the library is down from Manners Street towards the BNZ Centre.
Paid parking is available under the library building - access is off Harris Street, opposite the Police Station. Pay and Display parking is provided by Wellington City Council
- A carpark is available under the library building - access is off Harris Street, opposite the Police Station. Parking charges apply during the week. Free on weekends - maximum time is 2 hours
- Pay and Display parking is provided by Wellington City Council - Parking charges for the Central City
- Metered parking and 5 minute parks are available on Victoria Street directly outside the library
- The Michael Fowler Centre carpark is also nearby
The main library entrance is off 65 Victoria Street, opposite OfficeMax, in between the Nikau Palms. The library can also be accessed off Civic Square, through Clarks' Cafe
